The National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC), in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Institute of Demolition Engineers (IDE), is pleased to announce the return of NFDC Talks – Intelligent Demolition Planning for 2026.
Refreshed and re-shaped following the strong feedback and high engagement from last year’s programme, the 2026 series will once again bring together leading industry voices to share critical knowledge that supports safe, compliant and successful demolition projects.
These free-to-attend seminars have been developed to support clients, project teams and industry professionals involved in planning and procuring demolition works, while also offering valuable CPD-accredited learning. Demolition is a highly specialised discipline, often involving complex risks, multiple stakeholders and significant responsibilities. NFDC Talks 2026 is designed to help attendees approach projects with greater clarity and confidence, while reinforcing the importance of competence, early planning, informed decision-making and continued professional development.
Adrian Corrigan, President of the NFDC, said:
“NFDC Talks 2026 is about giving clients, contractors and industry professionals the knowledge they need to approach demolition in the right way from the very beginning. Good demolition planning is not just about compliance, it is about safety, competence, collaboration and making better decisions that lead to better project outcomes. We are proud to bring this refreshed programme back in partnership with HSE and IDE, and to continue supporting higher standards across the industry.”
The 2026 seminar programme will cover a wide range of relevant and forward-looking topics, including pre-contract considerations, contract clarity, contractor selection, skills and training, net zero, the circular economy, wellbeing and culture, and innovation and emerging technology.
Confirmed speakers for the 2026 programme include:
- Adrian Corrigan, NFDC President
- Jan Andresen, HSE Representative and HM Principal Specialist Inspector
- Adrian McLean, IDE President
- Wayne Bagnall, Director, Wayne Bagnall Ltd
- Brian Carroll, NFDC Strategic Membership Officer
The seminars are ideal for construction professionals, project managers, developers and anyone involved in procuring demolition services. Whether tendering for a major development or overseeing pre-construction planning, NFDC Talks aims to reduce project risk and support better outcomes through stronger planning and a clearer understanding of responsibilities.
